Purpose:

This role involves significant responsibilities in both worship and communication ministries, aiming to help the church fulfill its mission of knowing and loving God and making Him known through the Gospel.

Spiritual Responsibilities:

o Grow in relationship with God and others.

o Devoted in prayer and the ministry of the Word.

o Embrace and follow the church's vision and core values.

o Practice the lead pastor’s philosophy of ministry.

o The ability to cooperate with love, humility and unity while helping our church be “A Place Where Love Abounds”

o Follow the Holy Spirit’s leadership personally and corporately.

o Faithfully support the church in attendance and service.

o Agree with the Baptist Faith and Message.

Qualifications:

o Ability to lead worship and develop others to steward their gifts

o Organizational skills. 

o Proficiency and experience in music, media and communications

o Knowledge of audio, sound, and visual technology and the ability to lead and corporate with sound system     volunteers.

o Preferred: 

• Strong vocally and ability to play one or more musical instruments.

• A Degree in Music

• Experience in choir leadership and development.

Specific Duties:

o Attend staff and leadership planning meetings.

o Plan, coordinate, and lead worship services in cooperation with pastor

o Lead rehearsals and ensure preparedness for choir and worship team members.

o Other possible areas of ministry:  i.e. Wednesday night service, Nursing Home Ministry, Children’s Choir, Handbell Choir and seasonal events. 

o Provide spiritual leadership and encouragement.

o Recruit, train, and oversee volunteer musicians and technical team members.

o Develop and manage the worship and media budget.

o Coordinate the  communication and media strategy of the church alongside the other staff members and church leadership

o Produce and oversee multimedia content for worship services.

This role is vital for the church’s mission, requiring a blend of spiritual maturity, leadership skills, and technical expertise in music and media.  It will include serving in other areas of ministry as needed by the church.
