Kids' Ole Mcdermitt's Farm Outing: Our kids will be visiting Ole Mcdermitt's Farm on Sunday, September 25. We will provide lunch and then we will all ride over to the farm. Stay tuned for more details.

Deacons' Meeting/Conference: We will have a deacons' meeting and conference on Sunday, September 25.

Spaghetti Luncheon Fundraiser: There will be a spaghetti lucheon on Sunday, October 2 following morning worship. All donations will go towards helping students attend the Student Fall Retreat. Please make plans to join us.

Student Fall Retreat: Our student ministry will be having a Fall Retreat on October 14-16. This is for all students in the 6th-12th grades. We will be staying at Camp Rockridge in Franklin. The cost will be $50 per student. More details will be available soon.

Appalachian Backpack Ministry: Backpacks are available in Welcome Area. Please fill and return by October 9.

Fall Festival 2022: Our 2022 Fall Festival will be Sunday, October 30 from 5:00-7:00pm. We will have Trunk or Treat, Games, Giveaways, and more! We will need candy donations and volunteers! A signup station will be available soon.

Our Story

In 1902 Mr. Mitchell Andrews, with the help of his sons, built the first meeting house at Glenloch.  It was one room about 40 feet wide and 60 feet in length.  He was paid either three to four hundred dollars to complete the job. The church and the community grew and prospered over the years. 

In the summer of 1949, the old meeting house was torn down and a new one was built on the same site.  The church used mostly volunteer labor with a foreman and two other paid carpenters.  The church was built for the sum of about three thousand dollars.  The new church was dedicated on Sunday, October 9th, 1949.

Renovations of the sanctuary, as well as the construction of new buildings, took place from the the 1950's through the 1990's. Our current sanctuary was built in 2010 and continues to be the meeting place for our Sunday morning worship. Reverend Neil Awbrey has been the Pastor of Glenloch Baptist Church since 2000.
