About Our Church
Glenloch Baptist Church exists to make much of Jesus Christ. We do that by committing all that we are to worshiping and enjoying Him, advancing the glad news of the Gospel, and creating more and better disciples.
Glenloch Baptist Church strives to see individuals become passionate followers of Christ. Through the gathering of God's people, worship, prayer, and the teaching of God's Word we pray that the Holy Spirit would open hearts to the hope of the Gospel. Our desire is to display Christ, and see individuals transformed by His grace, and to His glory.

In 1902 Mr. Mitchell Andrews, with the help of his sons, built the first meeting house at Glenloch. It was one room about 40 feet wide and 60 feet in length. He was paid either three to four hundred dollars to complete the job. The church and the community grew and prospered over the years.
In the summer of 1949, the old meeting house was torn down and a new one was built on the same site. The church used mostly volunteer labor with a foreman and two other paid carpenters. The church was built for the sum of about three thousand dollars. The new church was dedicated on Sunday, October 9th, 1949.
Renovations of the sanctuary, as well as the construction of new buildings, took place from the the 1950's through the 1990's. Our current sanctuary was built in 2010 and continues to be the meeting place for our Sunday morning worship. Reverend Neil Awbrey has been the Pastor of Glenloch Baptist Church since 2000.
The Bible calls us to identify publicly with the local church (a). Through this fellowship, we receive strength for daily living. We also begin to discover and use our gifts and talents for serving God and others.
We receive members in a few different ways:
If you would like to join the church you should come to the front of the sanctuary during the invitation on Sunday morning and share your decision with the Pastor, or make him aware of your desire to meet with him or another minister to discuss membership of a commitment to Christ privately.
Each new member is encouraged to go through a new member orientation following their uniting with the congregation. This is a time that we are able to discuss with you the belief and vision of the Church, as well as discipleship opportunities available as you now pursue Christ with us.
